Home Away From Home

Last month when we surprised the kids with a vacation to Orlando, Florida, we thought we would be staying at just another hotel. You know, two queen beds, a bathroom, 400 square feet, a one cup coffee maker & a teeny mini fridge (if you're lucky). But as a family of 5 and having 6 days of fun planned...we needed more than a "normal" hotel stay. This is why we were so excited to stay at Magic Village Views.

When I say it was better than being home, I am serious. We had 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a full kitchen, living room, back patio, grill, jacuzzi, laundry room & access to the most gorgeous pool arena.

I will never forget the look on my kid's faces as they ran through the house picking out their bedrooms. They squealed with excitement when they found out each room had a full bathroom! Even though it was 10 p.m. they immediately started "setting up" their rooms. Which for them meant laying out their travel blanket, organizing toys & laying out the clothes they wanted to wear next. I love that we had enough space for everyone to have some peace & quiet to themselves, while also having many common areas we could get together in & relax, eat or play games.

The common area we used most was, of course, the kitchen. It was so beautiful & had plenty of space! It had dishes, pots & pans, utensils, a full-size coffee maker, a toaster, a full-size refrigerator, a stove, microwave & anything else you might need in the kitchen while preparing or eating a meal. And I can't forget....it even had a dishwasher! Jacob also made great use of the grill to cook us a delicious steak dinner.

While the house, bathrooms, living room & kitchen were all great...my favorite part of the house, was the laundry room! Yes, it had a full washer & dryer setup. In the house! I will never go on another vacation without having access to a washer/dryer. It was a game-changer! We could have packed fewer outfits as we did laundry every night. It was so easy to keep up on & going home with ALL clean clothes was a total blessing. I know you've all been there, getting home from vacation and dreading the 6 loads of laundry to catch up on. And being able to have freshly washed & dried towels every day was awesome! Especially after a trip to the beach.

Believe it or not, we didn't stay IN the house the whole time (although my kids would have been happy to). We went to many great attractions in the Orlando area. But my favorite memory of the trip will be the day we spent at the pool with my whole extended family. Another reason we decided to stay at Magic Village Views, was to be close to my mom & brothers for our big family vacation. It was perfect for us to all be able to comfortably stay, have meals together & enjoy the pool.

Again, the pool area was not a normal hotel pool. There was plenty of lounge chairs, tables & even cabanas. The pool itself was gorgeous & we all felt like a celebrity enjoying our day. In addition to the pool, there's also a hot tub, volleyball, tennis court, life-size chess set, sitting area & games available like a big Jenga set.

It's not easy having my whole family spread out. We are very close & love to all be together but it's hard when everyone lives in different states. Staying at Magic Village Views was like being home with my family, sharing meals, playing games & spending quality time together. We will definitely be back again with our big crazy family to visit Orlando, Florida & stay at Magic Village Views.
